Character Design - Star Wars in 1838

Project for Character Design class: Redesign Star Wars characters as if the story was set during Trail of Tears era America. Luke having to be from a Native American Tribe, in this case, Navajo.

Luke - A Well meaning Navajo Warrior who sets off to fight against the suffering brought on by the Trail of Tears
 
Han Solo - A formerly lone-wolf cowboy who joins the heroes to fight injustice
 
Chewbacca - A Cherokee warrior seeking to avenge his tribe's suffering
 
Leia - A sharp shooting Navajo princess who is kidnapped by government oppressors
 
R2D2 - physical embodiment of the Navajo goddess of war and the hunt: Hastseoltoi
 
C-3PO - The physical embodiment of Speech itself - refered to by the Navajo as Bikeh Hozho
